To pay with a credit or debit card, after receiving your schedule 1 via 2290asap.com, you will be required to make your payment by going online to: https://www.irs.gov/payments/pay-taxes-by-credit-or-debit-card. A convenience fee is charged by these service providers. 2290asap is not associated with these providers. These payment processors have been chosen by the IRS, not 2290asap.
Electronic Federal Tax Payment System (EFTPS).
If you are using EFTPS, after receiving your schedule 1 via 2290asap.com, you will be required to make your payment on-line through your EFTPS account. This is not an automatic process. You must initiate the process through the EFTPS web page. To pay via EFTPS you must first enroll. You can do so at or by calling the IRS at 1-800-555-4477. Note that setting up an EFTPS account can take up to 15 business days.
Check or money order using the payment voucher.
If you are using the MAIL IN A PAPER CHECK OPTION, please ensure that after you receive your stamped schedule 1 (generally within minutes) you click on the VIEW RETURN option next to the completed filing and print the Payment voucher of the return. Mail in your check (with a copy of the payment voucher only - nothing else) to the address on the voucher.

Direct debit (Electronic funds withdrawal)
By choosing the Direct Debit option you acknowledge that your information is being transmitted directly to the IRS. The withdrawal of funds is also handled by the IRS. You may wish to check your account to be sure the amount is being withdrawn. If not, please contact the IRS toll-free customer service line at 1-866-699-4096.
By choosing the Direct Debit option you authorize the U.S. Treasury and its designated Financial Agent to initiate an electronic funds withdrawal (direct debit) entry to the financial institution account indicated in the tax preparation software for payment of the federal taxes owed on this return, and the financial institution to debit the entry to this account. To revoke a payment, you must contact the U.S. Treasury Financial Agent at 1-888-353-4537 no later than 2 business days before the payment (settlement) date. You also authorize the financial institution involved in the processing of the electronic payment of taxes to receive confidential information necessary to answer inquiries and resolve issues related to the payment.
